Challenge

Serrana Solar needed a professional digital presence that could serve multiple audiences — integrators seeking product information, potential partners evaluating the company, and customers tracking their orders — while maintaining brand consistency and providing an intuitive content management experience for non-technical staff.

The website had to showcase an extensive product catalog spanning multiple categories (photovoltaic modules, inverters, microinverters, solar drivers, EV charging solutions) with detailed technical specifications, while also serving as the institutional hub communicating the company's 17+ year history, 7,500m² facility, Greener Top 14 ranking, and exclusive advantages like cashback and progressive discounts.

Traditional CMS platforms lacked the flexibility needed for solar industry-specific content structures (technical datasheets, product comparisons, certification displays) and couldn't integrate seamlessly with the existing order tracking infrastructure. The company needed a custom solution that could grow with their product line, maintain performance with a large catalog, and provide intuitive content editing without requiring developer intervention for routine updates.

Implemented Solution

Built a custom corporate website powered by the PCWM CMS framework, designed specifically for solar energy distribution with integrated product catalog management and public order tracking.

Custom CMS Architecture

Developed CMS as a tailored content management system with:

  • Modular Content Structure: Separate management interfaces for institutional content, product catalog, advantages/benefits, news, and contact sections
  • Product Catalog Management: Dedicated admin interface for managing photovoltaic products across multiple categories (modules, inverters, microinverters, solar drivers, EV chargers) with support for technical specifications, datasheets, images, and brand associations
  • Dynamic Content Templates: Flexible page builder allowing non-technical staff to create and update pages without developer assistance
  • SEO Management Tools: Built-in controls for meta tags, URL structures, and content optimization

Core Website Features

  • Comprehensive Product Catalog: Full digital catalog showcasing complete photovoltaic solution portfolio including On Grid systems, Off Grid systems, microinverters, solar drivers, and EV charging stations (Wallbox)
  • Order Tracking Module: Public-facing order status lookup allowing customers to track deliveries by order number, invoice number, or CPF/CNPJ with real-time updates from logistics systems
  • Institutional Section: Company timeline (2008-2025), facility information, certifications, awards (Greener Top 14 rankings for 2021, 2022, 2023), and exclusive programs
  • Advantages Showcase: Dedicated pages highlighting exclusive integrator benefits (cashback program, progressive discounts, solar calculator access via Portal do Integrador)
  • Contact System: Multi-department contact forms with person/company type selection and WhatsApp integration for immediate support
  • Responsive Design: Mobile-optimized interface ensuring product catalog and order tracking accessibility across all devices

Technical Implementation Highlights

  • Custom CMS Framework: PCWM built from the ground up to match Serrana Solar's specific content needs, avoiding bloat and complexity of generic platforms
  • Database-Driven Catalog: Product information stored in relational database structure enabling quick updates, bulk operations, and dynamic filtering/search capabilities
  • Order Tracking Integration: Direct API connection to logistics systems providing real-time delivery status without manual updates
  • Performance Optimization: Efficient database queries and caching strategies maintaining fast load times despite extensive product catalog
  • Content Workflow: Intuitive admin interface allowing marketing team to publish updates, add products, and manage institutional content independently

Results / Impact

  • Custom CMS (PCWM) providing full content management autonomy without developer dependency for routine updates
  • Complete product catalog showcasing full photovoltaic solution portfolio across multiple categories and brands
  • Public order tracking improving customer experience with self-service delivery status lookups
  • 17+ year company history presented through interactive timeline showcasing growth and achievements
  • Multi-audience platform serving integrators, potential partners, and end customers with targeted content sections
  • Brand credibility showcase highlighting ISO 9001 certification, Great Place to Work recognition, and Greener Top 14 rankings
  • Seamless ecosystem integration connecting corporate website with Portal do Integrador for integrator-specific features
  • Technical resource hub providing product datasheets, specifications, and certification documentation
  • Scalable architecture supporting catalog growth and new product category additions without platform limitations

Notes / Remarks

This project demonstrates the value of custom CMS development when industry-specific content structures and business workflows don't align with generic platforms.

Building PCWM specifically for solar energy distribution eliminated unnecessary complexity while providing exactly the features needed — technical product management, certification displays, and order tracking integration.

The CMS architecture prioritizes content team autonomy, allowing marketing staff to manage a growing product catalog and institutional content without developer bottlenecks.

The order tracking module bridges the gap between corporate website and operational systems, providing customer-facing transparency while leveraging the same logistics infrastructure used by the Portal do Integrador.

This dual-platform approach (corporate website + B2B portal) creates a cohesive digital ecosystem serving different audiences with appropriate functionality for each.
