Technologies Used

  • Custom PHP CMS Framework (PCWM)
  • Standalone Vue.js
  • TailwindCSS
  • MySQL / MariaDB Database
  • Order Tracking API Integration
  • Dynamic Product Catalog System
  • SEO-Optimized Architecture

Challenge

Serrana Solar needed a platform serving multiple audiences — integrators seeking product specs, partners evaluating the company, and customers tracking orders.

The site had to showcase an extensive product catalog (photovoltaic modules, inverters, microinverters, solar drivers, EV charging) with technical datasheets while communicating the company's 17+ year history, 7,500m² facility, and Greener Top 14 ranking.

Traditional CMS platforms lacked flexibility for solar industry-specific content structures, plus the much needed integration with order tracking infrastructure.

Implemented Solution

Built custom corporate website with PCWM CMS designed specifically for solar energy distribution:

  • Custom CMS Architecture: Modular interfaces for institutional content, product catalog, advantages/benefits, news, and contact sections with flexible page builder and SEO management tools
  • Product Catalog Management: Admin interface for managing products across multiple categories with technical specifications, datasheets, images, and brand associations
  • Order Tracking Module: Public-facing lookup by order number, invoice, or CPF/CNPJ with real-time logistics system integration
  • Institutional Content: Company timeline (2008-2025), facility info, certifications, awards (Greener Top 14: 2021, 2022, 2023)
  • Advantages Showcase: Integrator benefits (cashback, progressive discounts, solar calculator via Portal do Integrador)
  • Performance: Efficient database queries and caching maintaining fast load times despite extensive catalog

Results / Impact

  • Full content management autonomy without developer dependency for routine updates
  • Complete product catalog across multiple categories and brands
  • Public order tracking improving customer experience with self-service delivery status
  • Multi-audience platform serving integrators, partners, and end customers
  • Brand credibility showcase (ISO 9001, Great Place to Work, Greener Top 14)
  • Scalable architecture supporting catalog growth without platform limitations

Why it matters

This project demonstrates the value of custom CMS development when industry-specific content structures don't align with generic platforms. Building PCWM specifically for solar energy distribution eliminated unnecessary complexity while providing exactly needed features — technical product management, certification displays, and order tracking integration.

The dual-platform approach (corporate website + B2B portal) creates a cohesive digital ecosystem serving different audiences with appropriate functionality for each.
